Alas, No Church of Elvis

It suddenly dawned on me this past week that I’m only about two months away from my wedding day, and I still have a pretty good list of things that need to be done. As usual, all my good intentions of getting things done early so I wouldn’t have to stress about them are falling by the wayside.

Cursed Tongue: Global Warming: Sweating it Out

As a child, I always assumed that the Jetsons lived in a house that floated in midair because the people of the future had laid waste to the earth with pollutants and therefore everyone was forced to live above the smog line. Now I know that they were living in hovering houses because the polar ice caps liquefied like ice in a Mojito under the Phoenix sun.

A Yarn of a Tale

This weekend I made the ultimate sacrifice. I donated. Not blood. Not an organ. Not even money, but something that was very valuable to me. I gave away three large garbage bags full of yarn.

Cursed Tongue: Low Tree, High Maintenance

I think I discovered a new form of hypochondria. Now I’m not only obsessing about the size, shape and color of the mole on my cheek. I’m also obsessing about the mysterious wet spot in the backyard (no, we don’t have a dog), the dripping noise that the toilet in the master bath makes, and the spidery crack in the wall in the utility closet. Ah, the joys of homeownership.
