When we had the dirt patch in front of our house converted to a rock garden, we hired a landscaper. Not because we had money we didn’t know what to do with, but because after reading about irrigation system installation, it was painfully obvious that we had no idea what we were doing.

‘Tis the Season Already

There are hints of the Christmas season all over the place already. Halloween candy is just hitting the clearance rack and already there are decorated trees on display in stores along with candy canes and potential gift items.

Cursed Tongue: Love That New Baby Spit-up Smell

About a year ago my younger brother, Twerp, and my sister-in-law called with news of a major purchase. They bought a 2005 four-door V8 truck with leather interior and all of the upgrades. Now this was no surprise. Twerp has had a love affair with automobiles that began long before he realized driving a Hotwheels car on my head would tangle my hair up around the axles, necessitating removal by haircut.

What’s All the Fuss ‘Aboot’?

This weekend, my hubby and I trekked across the border back into the United States. We went to Seattle for a jujitsu tournament and some shopping for Christmas gifts for my family back in South Dakota. While there we took the opportunity to meet up with some friends for dinner.
