DWTS – Sade Steals the Show

We’re in Week 4 of Dancing With The Stars, and so far my favorite moment of the season doesn’t involve dancing. On the result show this week Sade performed twice and blew away any other performance – music or dancing – that I’ve seen through several seasons of viewing.

I was entranced with the performance of “Babyfather,” and reminded how much I’ve liked Sade’s work. Then when she came back for a second performance, she granted my silent wish that she’d do the always popular “Sweetest Taboo.” I will likely head out to buy Sade’s latest album, and I couldn’t even tell you who danced while she was performing.

DWTS: Brenda Bites the Dust

Shannen Doherty was the first one to go this season on Dancing with the Stars. It was proof positive of how big a popularity contest the show is.

There were plenty of people with lower scores after two nights of dancing, and based on scores Buzz Aldren and Kate Gosselin were shoe-ins for the bottom two. But the reality show gods were in Kate’s favor, and I’m guessing people just didn’t have the heart to not vote for Buzz. Instead Shannen and Pamela Anderson ended up in the bottom two.

DWTS: Let the Dancing Begin Again!

The first time I tuned in to Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) it was for work reasons. Shannon Elizabeth was on, and as a pseudo poker celebrity, I had to write about her stint on the show for the website I was working on at the time.

When the season was finally over, I breathed a sigh of relief at not ever having to watch again. Then the season came with Chuck Liddell. There’s no work excuse for wanting to watch him; I just like the UFC and wanted to see how he’d do. I watched the entire season even though he was booted near the middle.
