There was a time when I could consume just about anything and not gain weight. Of course, when I got to college, it turned out that I could have been 15 pounds lighter if I had gotten more exercise (I walked a lot) and been a cafeteria vegetarian (I did not trust most of the meat dishes at my school).

It’s 5 p.m. on Sunday and I’m sitting here in pajama pants, a sweatshirt and slippers – one step up from my actual pajamas. I hadn’t really planned to end up this way, even though it was supposed to be a nice lazy Sunday no matter what I ended up doing.

China came down with a bout of the religious intolerance flu and begged out of attending this week’s conference on Iran. Protesting the Dalai Lama’s acceptance of the Congressional Medal of Honor on Wednesday, China, a nation of petulant only children, has packed up its toys and gone home.

Have You Seen This Squirrel?

It seems that the complaints people have filed against the squirrels in a local park didn’t come soon enough. On Saturday, at least one visitor to the park was held up and attacked by an overly zealous squirrel.
