Simon Night on American Idol

The American Idol finale was the background soundtrack while I was studying last night. I haven’t watched the show all season, but I figured at least it would mostly be music while I crammed in more Project Management info before my test next week.

Sure, it was mostly music, but it was also mostly a big love fest and goodbye to Simon Cowell.

My Lady Gaga Friday

There’s nothing like a long list of things I want to get done to drive me to complete avoidance and time wasting. It began by logging into Twitter and finding an update about a video on YouTube. That led to about two hours of finding and watching related videos instead of going for a run, making a grocery list, putting away the last of the laundry, cleaning the computer room, vacuuming me, and many more tasks for the day.

So to feel somewhat productive, I bring you the videos I was most entertained by or impressed with featuring Lady Gaga songs or parodies.

DWTS – Sade Steals the Show

We’re in Week 4 of Dancing With The Stars, and so far my favorite moment of the season doesn’t involve dancing. On the result show this week Sade performed twice and blew away any other performance – music or dancing – that I’ve seen through several seasons of viewing.

I was entranced with the performance of “Babyfather,” and reminded how much I’ve liked Sade’s work. Then when she came back for a second performance, she granted my silent wish that she’d do the always popular “Sweetest Taboo.” I will likely head out to buy Sade’s latest album, and I couldn’t even tell you who danced while she was performing.

Super Bowl Without the Flash

The best thing that ever happened to the Super Bowl halftime show was Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction” a few years back. In the flash of a sticker-covered breast, the world of the Super Bowl shows changed forever.
