Bathing Suit Bust

It’s nearing bathing-suit season – according to the calendar even if the weather isn’t cooperating just yet. I nee a new swimsuit for aquafit, a water aerobics class I like to do, and I figured now was a good time to look.

My hope was there would still be a good selection to choose from and maybe, just maybe, they’d also be on sale too.

I’ve only looked in two stores so far – Costco and Zellers – but already I’m irritated by the whole process.

Professional Purse

After spending a large chunk of Thursday working on job applications, I couldn’t help but wonder what else I could be doing to improve my chances of eventually finding a job.

Or you could say I was wondering what I’m doing wrong that I haven’t been offered a job yet.

Cursed Tongue: The Gift of Get It Yourself

I realize that this discussion maybe just a tad early for some Christmas shoppers. But next week is Black Friday. (So called because that’s the color a normal human soul turns while jostled between the pallet of gift-wrap and the end cap of obnoxious, musical dancing reindeers in the crush of shoppers at the Wal-Mart on the day after Thanksgiving.) The harried, beaten consumer may shamefully turn to the shiny gift card display in their time need.

Scratching that Flea Market Itch

Bargain Hunting

In case I didn’t make it obvious enough with my last update to the site, I took a nice little vacation last week to the Dominican Republic. It was a long-awaited (nearly a year and a half after marrying) honeymoon for my husband and me.
