Whale Tale From False Creek
Posted by Cynical Sarah on May 5, 2010
Vancouverites got a rare treat today as a gray whale made its way up False Creek and hung out around Science World for a while today.
There were reports of a gray whale feeding in other places along the coast yesterday as well, but according to news sources, this is probably the first time in 100 years a gray whale has come up False Creek. It was literally right downtown.
Science World peeps got some good pictures of the whale that you can seen on their Facebook fan page.
CTV also have video up of the whale on their site. You can check it out here.
It was definitely one of those days I can’t complain about living next to the ocean. Big city life has it’s good and bad, but this was one of the really good things.
